Crossbow has exhibited at hundreds of conferences over the last 20 years, and one thing we have found over and over again is that delegates are not given enough time to have a good look at resources, and, by the same token, exhibitors who have taken the time and trouble to attend the conference end up hardly seeing anything of the delegates. We've invited some of the people we consider to be the best resources providers in the UK for this education sector (alongside ourselves, of course), so we want to give you the opportunity to make the most of them. To do this, and to also give you plenty of time for catching up with friends and colleagues, we will serve lunch in two sittings. While the first half have lunch, the second half will have dedicated exhibition viewing time; and vice versa for the second sitting. The venue are used to dealing with large numbers, and have assured us they do not have long queues at the serveries.
Our exhibitors are by invitation only. Our aim is to have a marketplace of suppliers and services selected for their known quality and relevance to this conference, with enough variety to make the marketplace an interesting area to visit, without so many stands that there is not enough time to get round them all. We have divided the stands into three categories: BOOKS AND RESOURCES, ICT, and SERVICES.
BOOKS AND RESOURCES: Crossbow Education, SEN Books, Phonic Books Ltd, Smart Kids, Left'n'Write, TTS, Flexitable
ICT: Activise, Enabling Technology, Nessy, Sprint Plus, Wordshark.
SERVICES: Dyslexia Action, Rushall's Inclusion Advisory Team
We will have a full range of our dyslexia-friendly teaching resources and our award-winning visual stress collection on display, with stock for you to purchase and take away with you. We can invoice your school, or take card payments. There will be plenty of hands-on resources, as well as activity books, for phonics, writing, language, punctuation and grammar, handwriting, and comprehension, as well as our reading rulers, overlays, tinted exercise books, and Visual Stress Assessment Pack.

This will be run by Beccie Hawes and Becky Hawkins of Rushall's Inclusion Advisory Service, both of whom are presenting workshops at the conference. It will consist of one-to-one appointments arranged at the Rushall's Team stand during the exhibitions times, and give delegates the opportunity to benefit from their specialist input on specific problems with specific children.
Delegates can get on the spot advice about a number of issues including:
- What to do about 'that' pupil.
- How to tweak your quality first teaching.
- Recommendations of resources/assessment materials/interventions to support best practice.
- Whole school policy and practice development/problem solving.
- How to show small step progress.
Everyone who 'drops in' will receive a plan, do, review document to support their reflection and action back at school.

Flexitables are the most ingenious and simplest idea to help all children understand the basic principles of maths
Multiplication/Division,
Addition/Subtraction,
Fractions/Percentages/Decimals
and the traditional 100 Square.
They are soft flexible plastic folding grids with vertical and horizontal channels that allow children to continuously fold them again and again without them being damaged giving far greater life than similar paper or cardboard products.
As the grids are manipulatives they are also a great resource for Special Needs tuition for Dyslexic and Autistic pupils as they can help improve their hand/eye/brain co-ordination.
